Welcome to Ashley and Dom's adventurous couples session at Little Buffalo State Park in Pennsylvania! They wanted a couples session that captured their love for exploration and outdoor fun, and what better way to do it than with a canoe photoshoot on a serene lake?
Exploring the Great Outdoors
Ashley and Dom are outdoor enthusiasts who often visit Little Buffalo State Park near their home in Newport, Pennsylvania. They love kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and camping, making the park their go-to destination for outdoor adventures. They often bring their beloved dog Ranger as they cherish every moment spent together in nature. So naturally, we wanted their couples session at Little Buffalo State Park to reflect their shared love for the great outdoors.
Setting Sail in a Canoe
They brought Ashley's dad's canoe along and put it in the lake. It was a bit tricky because if you’ve ever gone canoeing, you know standing up in a canoe without tipping over is tough! However, my boyfriend and assistant, Tanner, was there to sit on the other side of the canoe, to keep it stable ensuring that no one fell into the water.
Playful Moments on the Water
Once we were out on the water, Ashley and Dom started playing around and splashing each other. Even though it was a bit tricky to move around in the canoe, they were having so much fun. But they didn’t let that stop them from having a great time. The best part is that you can see it in their canoe photoshoot picture below!
Picture Perfect Moments
As the session progressed, we went further into the water to capture some candid moments of Ashley and Dom paddling along the shore. Their genuine connection and playful banter made for stunning shots that perfectly captured their love story. From up-close moments of affectionate looks to wide shots of the canoe with the mountains in the background, every picture told a story of adventure and romance.
Making a Splash
Towards the end of the session, Ashley and Dom dipped their toes in the water, creating fun and carefree moments that reflected their infectious energy and love for life. Splashing each other and enjoying the refreshing water, they embraced the spontaneity of the moment. This resulted in some truly memorable shots.
