Max & Emily | The Inn at Leola Village Wedding | Leola, PA

I had the best time photographing Max and Emily's wedding at The Inn at Leola Village. The day was fun, filled with love, and overflowing with laughter. From the heartfelt vows to the lively dance floor, every moment felt like a big, joyful party among old friends. Join me as we dive into the details of their special day, where every snapshot tells a story of celebration and true happiness.

Getting to Know the Couple

My connection with Emily and Max goes way back to before they even started dating. Emily and I worked together scooping ice cream at a local restaurant, along with her sister, Maddie, and my own sister. Max's mom was also my high school teacher — talk about a small world! Having these personal ties made capturing their special day even more meaningful for me.

Emotional Beginnings

The wedding day was emotional, as Emily's father had passed away a few years prior. The absence was deeply felt, especially during the emotional moments when Emily received a surprise bouquet charm from her mom, bearing a photo of her dad with the words “You're always in my heart.”

Another touching gesture was when Emily gifted Max a tie pin inscribed with 'All of you forever,' symbolizing their enduring love. Such tender details set a heartfelt tone for the day.

Ceremony Details

The ceremony at The Inn at Leola Village was incredibly touching. Emily’s brother walked her down the aisle, a special tribute to their dad’s memory. I caught a really moving photo of a reserved seat for her dad, decorated with a rose and a plaque.

You could see the emotions on everyone’s faces, especially during their sincere vows and the joyful walk back down the aisle, where Emily and Max couldn't help but dip and laugh. Capturing these beautiful, emotional moments was just a dream for any photographer.

Portraits of the Couple

After the ceremony, we took advantage of The Inn’s picturesque grounds for Emily and Max’s portraits. Despite the sweltering heat, their love and excitement made every shot shine. From candid laughs to tender embraces, these portraits captured the essence of their relationship – joyful, genuine, and deeply connected. These images are some of my favorites, showcasing not just their love, but the stunning backdrop of The Inn at Leola Village.

From the getting-ready moments to the reception at The Inn at Leola Village, I took a documentary approach to their wedding photos. I aimed to capture the spontaneous, candid moments that unfolded. This included the laughter-filled episode during the reception's anniversary dance, where the longest-married couple shared their humorous take on love, leaving everyone in stitches.

Reception and Festivities

As the evening progressed, the reception at The Inn at Leola Village revealed the true party spirit of Emily, Max, and their guests. They danced, laughed, and celebrated their new journey together. Capturing these moments, from spontaneous dances to heartfelt laughs, highlighted the joyous culmination of their special day.
