Sophia & DJ | Micro Wedding Photos at Fort Hunter Mansion and Park in Harrisburg, PA

Hi there! I’m so excited to share the sweet details from Sophia and DJ’s small micro wedding at the beautiful Fort Hunter Mansion and Park right here in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

This place is a real gem, especially for those looking for that cozy, intimate vibe surrounded by nature.

A Cozy Venue with Stunning River Views

Fort Hunter Mansion and Park was the perfect pick for this wedding. The park overlooks the Susquehanna River, and let me tell you, the views are something else! It was the backdrop of their ceremony arch.

It’s truly a dream spot for anyone considering a small, intimate wedding in Harrisburg.

Just the Closest Family... and Their Dogs!

The wedding was wonderfully intimate with just twelve guests, making the atmosphere incredibly warm and full of love.

One of the most memorable parts of the day was the unique ring blessing ceremony. Sophia and DJ placed their wedding rings in a special box that was passed around to each guest for blessings and prayers. This heartfelt gesture made everyone feel a part of their union. It created a sense of community and togetherness that resonated throughout the day.

And let’s not forget the dogs! DJ’s dog walked down the aisle as his best man, which absolutely melted everyone’s hearts. The sight of their furry friend taking part in the ceremony brought smiles and laughter, adding a light-hearted and joyful touch to the proceedings.

Musical Touches and Family Connections

Adding to the uniqueness of their day, Sophia’s little sister played the harp during their ceremony, filling the air with beautiful music. The music brought elegance and grace to the ceremony, perfectly matching the beautiful atmosphere.

Sophia also connected with her family back in Ukraine via video chat, sharing these joyous moments across continents. It allowed loved ones who couldn't travel to still participate, making the ceremony even more special.

The love and happiness were clear for all to see. I captured some touching moments, like the groom and his mom wiping away tears during the ceremony. It was truly moving and beautiful to see. These honest, open moments are what make weddings so special and unforgettable. Seeing their emotions showed everyone the real reason we celebrate weddings—it's not just about the big event, but about the deep connections and the new life journey the couple is starting together.

Stunning Portraits in Elegant Gardens

After the ceremony, I took family photos and newlywed portraits around the mansion’s gardens. The lush settings made Sophia and DJ appear as if they had stepped out of a fairy tale, highlighting the romance and elegance of their special day.

A Day to Remember

This wedding was not only a joy to photograph but it also gave me some great ideas for personal touches at ceremonies. If you’re thinking about a small wedding or even an elopement in Pennsylvania, Fort Hunter Mansion should definitely be on your list.

If you love laid-back, fun, and meaningful wedding days as much as I do, I think we’d make a great team. As a Pennsylvania wedding photographer, I’d love to help capture all the wonderful, quirky, and heartfelt moments of your special day.

Let’s make some memories that you’ll cherish forever!
